Wedding Cupcake Tasting #1

TA-DA...NEW POST! :)

This is the first of two wedding cupcake tastings I am having this year.

For this tasting I baked three different cupcake flavors:

Cookies & Cream

Logan (German chocolate)

Chocolate Hazelnut

The three cupcakes turned out very well, and the Chocolate Hazelnut (my personal favorite) was just amazing!!

A chocolate cake, with crushed Ferraro Roche chocolates in the batter and nutella. The frosting was a chocolate nutella and the cupcake was garnished with a Ferraro Roche chocolate!! AMAZING.

I am very excited about catering this event. The bride and groom ended up picking the Oreo and Chocolate Hazelnut.. check back after Aug 17Th for pictures of the wedding cupcakes.

Enjoy the pictures!

Valentines Day!!

TA-DA...NEW POST! :)

For Valentines Day I had an order for the very delicious and V-Day appropriate Chocolate Cherry Cupcakes.

They were mini cupcakes and turned out so well!

The cupcake is my typical chocolate cupcake recipe.. tweaked with chopped maraschino cherries, and grenadine.

They were frosted with a chocolate cherry fudge frosting and garnished with a chocolate covered maraschino cherry!

They tasted amazing.. kinda like a cherry cordial!

USNA Cupcakes

TA-DA...NEW POST! :)

I live in Annapolis, MD.. about 10 minutes from the United States Naval Academy. As you may or may not be aware, the Army vs Navy game is a big deal.

A family friend asked me to bake her some Navy themed cupcakes for her to take to a gathering for the Army vs Navy game.. She pretty much gave me creative control so this is what I created.

The cupcakes are Lemon white chocolate, a moist lemon cake with white chips baked inside, and the frosting is lemon white chocolate cream cheese frosting. I baked them in gold foil cupcake wrappers.

I separated the frosting into two batches , dyed one blue, dyed one bright yellow and piped the frosting into a swirl.

They were then garnished with gold edible balls and gold sprinkles. They not only offered awesome team spirit, but they tasted great!

Transformers Ice Cream Cones

TA-DA...NEW POST! :)

These cupcakes were made for a child's birthday party.

Its Bourbon Vanilla cake mix baked inside a sugar cone. Then frosted with white chocolate cream cheese frosting dyed in varying "Transformers" colors.

They were a huge hit and a lot of fun to bake and frost.

The mother topped the Ice Cream cones with Transformers designed cupcake toppers. Very cute!
